Flood & Natural Disaster Insurance

Cover Your Home for All Occasions with Flood & Natural Disaster Insurance

Did you know most homeowner’s insurance policies do not cover flood damage?  If your community participates in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), a program administered by FEMA, you are eligible to purchase a flood insurance policy.

While you probably won’t have to use your flood insurance often, it’s a wise decision to purchase it if you live in a region where flooding occurs.  Policies typically take at least 30 days after purchase before going into effect.

Other Natural Disaster Not Covered by Homeowner’s Insurance

  • Earthquakes
  • Other earth movement (sink holes and landslides etc…)
  • Hurricanes
  • Other water damage (overflows and backups from your septic system/sump pump)
  • Nuclear accident or war

If you live in an area of the country where you could be affected by one or more of these types of damage, your homeowner’s policy most likely does not cover the damage these natural disasters cause.

At Core Benefits Group, our goal is to make sure you have the coverage you need that also fits within your budget.  We value building trustworthy, long-term relationships with clients like you.
